HERMS supports two deployment patterns. In the first, data stays on the client's own servers or storage, and the HERMS software and AI model are granted controlled in-place access. In the second, the client elects to have HERMS store the data on HERMS servers.
In both patterns, the platform reads and never overwrites the client's systems of record. Discrepancies are surfaced with both sources shown, rather than silently reconciled. Integration is API-only, with no database access, and follows open standards such as eCTD, ICH E2B(R3), IDMP, HL7 FHIR, and GS1.
